By air. The nearest international airport to Lillehammer is Oslo Airport, Gardermoen. There are many daily flights from all over Europe. From this airport to Lillehammer there are several possibilities:
By train. There is a frequent train service from the city of Oslo and from the airport to Lillehammer. The journey takes nearly two hours from the airport and two and a half hours from Oslo. Lillehammer is a small town and the train station is only a short journey from the Hotel Hammer. You can find information on train schedules and fares and you can also buy your ticket here. Trains leave regularly from early in the morning until midnight. You can also buy tickets online or from a machine at the station.
By bus. There’s only one bus service called Nettbuss. It has two daily departures to Lillehammer, one in the morning and one late in the evening. The bus line is NX146 Oslo – Måløy/Ulsteinvik. The journey takes two hours from the airport and three hours from Oslo. Tickets must be bought prior to boarding the bus. They can be purchased on the website or at the station from a ticket seller or a machine that is close to the platform.
By rental car. There are several car rental companies at Oslo Airport, Gardermoen. Once leaving the airport, take the motorway E6 north and follow directions to Hamar, Lillehammer, Trondheim. The distance is 150 kilometres from the airport (200 km from Oslo) to Lillehammer.

The hotel offers good accommodation. Hostel Stasjonen. Hostel Stasjonen offers a reasonable bed & breakfast option. It is situated in the same building as the railway station, which is an 8-minute walk to Hotel Hammer. Telephone: +47 61 26 00 24.
The prices they offer are NOK 920/person for a single and NOK 495/person for a double room, which is inclusive of breakfast and VAT. A bed in a 4-bed room costs NOK 395. They also have quite spacious family rooms for a group of 4-5 people at NOK 1560/room. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms. A limited number of double rooms, two 4-bed rooms (one for CF females and one for CF males) and a family room are reserved until 1st May 2019. In a 4-bed room you can book a single bed. Lillehammer tourist centre. Lillehammer tourist centre offers a variety of self-catering flats and cabins, hostel and hotel rooms. There is also a camping site for tents, camper vans and caravans. It is situated on the outskirts on town, with a view towards the lake Mjøsa in west. The walking distance to the Hotel Hammer venue is 24 minutes or 8 minutes by car.
